Text Message Opt-In
How A-Tech Appraisal Co. asks your permission before texting you about an appraisal inspection, and exactly what you agree to.
Who sends these texts
The texts come from A-Tech Appraisal Co., a residential real estate appraisal firm. Its appraisers schedule inspections in appraisal-OS, the appraisal software A-Tech Appraisal Co. operates, and our SMS provider, Twilio, delivers the texts. The program is A-Tech Appraisal Co. Inspection Scheduling Texts.
What the texts are for
When A-Tech Appraisal Co. is appraising a property, its appraiser texts the contact for that property (the homeowner, borrower, listing agent or tenant) to arrange a time and access for the appraisal inspection. A text can introduce the appraiser and give a callback number, or carry a link to pick an inspection time, and the appraiser sees your replies. The texts are never marketing or promotional.
How you opt in
You agree by phone, directly with A-Tech Appraisal Co., and we do not text a number until you have said yes to us.
- An A-Tech Appraisal Co. appraiser phones you to arrange the inspection of a property A-Tech is appraising.
- Before any text is sent, the appraiser reads you the script below, word for word, and asks for a yes or no.
- Only a clear yes is recorded. The appraiser records it against your number and that appraisal, with the words read to you, the time, and who recorded it. Our system will not send a text to a number without that record. Consent given to anyone else, such as a lender or an AMC, does not count.
- After your yes, the appraiser confirms it on the call, and we send you one text confirming it. Every text you receive ends with “Reply STOP to opt out.”
The script the appraiser reads
May A-Tech Appraisal Co. send you text messages at this number about scheduling and access for the appraisal inspection at [property address]? The texts come from your appraiser and can include a callback number and a link to pick a time. Message frequency varies, usually one to three texts per appraisal. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help or STOP to opt out at any time. Agreeing is not required for the appraisal. Our SMS Terms are at appraisal-os.com/sms-terms and our Privacy Policy is at appraisal-os.com/privacy. Do you agree to receive these texts, yes or no?
On a yes, the appraiser says:
Thank you. You are signed up for texts from A-Tech Appraisal Co. about this inspection. Reply STOP at any time to stop them, or HELP for help.
Once the yes is recorded, this text confirms it:
A-Tech Appraisal Co.: You are signed up for texts about the appraisal inspection at [property address]. Msg frequency varies. Msg and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help. Reply STOP to opt out.
Saying no, or not answering, changes nothing about the appraisal: the appraiser keeps in touch by phone or email. Agreeing to texts is not a condition of any purchase or of the appraisal.
Frequency and cost
Message frequency varies, usually one to three texts per appraisal. Message and data rates may apply.
Stopping texts and getting help
Reply STOP at any time to stop the texts; that also withdraws your consent. Plain requests such as “please stop texting me” work too. Reply HELP for help, or email bill@appraisal-os.com. Carriers are not liable for any delayed or undelivered messages.
Your consent stays with A-Tech
You give your consent to A-Tech Appraisal Co. only, for the appraisal you were called about. We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. Twilio processes your number only to deliver our texts.
